Kapasitas Respons Tanggap Bencana Berbasis Gender, Budaya, Dan Kelas Sosial
Disaster Response Capacity Based on Gender, Culture And Social Class
Abstract
Indonesia is considered a disaster laboratory because of its geographical location. The proximity of disaster events to everyday life means that people need to have the capacity to respond to disasters wisely. Analysis of the ability to respond to disasters is seen according to gender stratification, culture and social class which greatly influence actions and efforts in dealing with disasters. Differences in response to gender often place women as a more vulnerable group. The existence of cultural diversity causes procedures and beliefs related to disasters to be different. Social class also creates inequality for people's ability to deal with disasters, especially for the lower class group. Differences in the ability to respond to disasters can be used as a reference for increasing community capacity in dealing with disasters. This article was written using the literature study method from previous research references, journals, books, and some other relevant literature, such as legal documents.
