JCIC: Jurnal CIC Lembaga Riset dan Konsultan Sosial (E-ISSN: 2746-5160) is a peer-reviewed journal published by the CIC Lembaga Riset dan Konsultan Sosial in collaboration with Asosiasi Peneliti Ilmu Sosial Indonesia (APISI).  The latest issue of JCIC: Jurnal CIC Lembaga Riset dan Konsultan Sosial presents a collection of interdisciplinary studies that highlight contemporary dynamics in society through the lenses of decolonial thought, criminology, law, and socio-ecological practices. Each article in this issue offers novel insights into understanding, responding to, and intervening in complex social challenges. Septa Dinata and Herdi Sahrasad, in their research Decolonizing “Muslim Questions” in Europe: Integration and Entanglements of Colonial Epistemologies, propose a re-reading of integration by dismantling colonial epistemologies and strengthening ethical pluralism. Yedija Otniel Purba, in Criminogenic Factors in Indonesian Filicide Cases: A Strain Theory Perspective, uncovers the darker side of social tensions in Indonesia, emphasizing that violence against children is not merely an individual pathology but a manifestation of broader structural pressures. Rizkita Kurnia Sari, in Comparative Analysis of Legal Protection for Pedestrians in Bandung, Indonesia and Suwon, South Korea, offers a novel comparison of legal protections for pedestrians in two cities, highlighting the importance of adopting progressive legal practices that prioritize citizens' rights. Shafira Dita Sasmita and Hitomi Nakayama, in Contribution of Forest Farmer Groups in Land Management through the Agroforestry System, demonstrate how Forest Farmer Groups (KTH) manage to create a balance between economic, social, and ecological resilience through agroforestry, even in the face of limited legal access. Finally, Ahmad Jamaludin and Resti Dea Nuraeni, in The Effectiveness of Implementing Diversion in Resolving Juvenile Cases of Assault and Collective Violence in West Java, analyze the effectiveness of diversion in handling juvenile delinquency, emphasizing the importance of restorative and participatory approaches in the juvenile justice system. Overall, this issue underscores the need for multidimensional approaches to address various social crises—ranging from identity, violence, citizens' rights, to sustainability—while offering new perspectives and solutions based on social justice, progressive law, and community empowerment.
